The Moldova Automotive Days 2018 Forum of vehicle parts producers and suppliers continues with the „Japan Day” event. This event is organized by MIEPO (Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization) and JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), an organization that aims to promote business relations between the Japanese and Moldovan companies.

The Japan Day within the Moldova Automotive Days 2018 began with the opening ceremony of B2B sessions. Here, over 45 companies from Republic of Moldova had the opportunity to interact with seven famous Japanese companies, such as Hitachi, Fanuc, NTT, Mitsui, Mitutoyo, Allied Telesis, E&M Corporation, YKK, representing different areas, including automotive, mechanical treatments, IT&Software, telecommunication, banking and trade. 

The launching ceremony was opened by Mr. Vitalie Zaharia, Director General of MIEPO, Ms. Iulia COSTIN, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Kazutoshi HAYASHI, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan, and Keisuke MIZUNO - Director General of JETRO Bucharest.

 Mr. Vitalie Zaharia expressed thanks to the partners from JETRO Bucharest (Japan External Trade Organization) and to the Embassy of Japan for the support provided to the Republic of Moldova for the identification of new partnerships and development of Japanese investment projects.  

Another parallel event during the Moldova Automotive Days 2018 was the opening ceremony of a new metrological laboratory by the Mitutoyo Company at the Technical University of Moldova.  

The event was attended by His Excellence Masanobu YOSHII, Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Sasaki SHIGEYUKI, president of Mitutoyo Europe, and Florin CĂLIN, Director of Mitutoyo Romania, but also by Ms. Iulia Costin, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, and Mr. Viorel BOSTAN, Chancellor of the Technical University of Moldova.
