Call for concepts for increasing outreach and communication potential of the EU-funded Project
This is a call for concepts for increasing outreach and communication potential of the EU-funded Project ‘Citizens' Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova’.
GIZ Moldova invites civil society organizations to submit project proposals to support the EU-funded ‘Citizens’ Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova’ Project to empower citizens through active participation of CSOs in local, regional and national decision-making processes.
This support is made available by the single Support Framework of the European Union (EU) in support to the Republic of Moldova (2017-2020) under European Neighbourhood Instrument, through the EU-funded Project “Citizens' Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova” (2019-2021, ENI/2018/402-674), implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH).
We are looking for a non-governmental/non-profit organisation or consortium of associations with substantial experience in communication and public relations campaigns, awareness campaigns, development and implementation of training programs for media and communication specialists and activists. Experience in implementation of grants and sub-granting schemes, and capacity to network and/or cooperate with other civil society organizations at the regional and national level is an asset.
The intervention covers the four development regions of Republic of Moldova – North, Centre, South and ATU Gagauzia.
GIZ will award a grant to a CSO or consortium of associations with experience in communication to empower citizens to participate in decision-making processes of EU-funded investments, some of which also directly implemented by GIZ.
The project proposed is to be fully implemented in the regions of the Republic of Moldova. Overall, the project should be finalized not later than June 2021.

Number of awards: One grant for all regions covered – North, Centre, South and ATU Gagauzia)
Expected award date: July 2019
Expected project duration: Up to June 2021
Award amounts: Up to 550,000 euros (of which at least 50% shall be sub-granted)
