Assistance grants from Rory Peck Trust for freelance journalists
Since 1995, the Rory Peck Trust has been providing support to freelance journalists and their families around the world. This includes freelancers who have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their work.
Our Assistance Grants are for professional freelance journalists (and/or their families) who are facing a crisis directly related to their work.
We have three types of Assistance Funds currently open for application:
- Provides support for freelance journalists to cover legal fees.
General Assistance Fund
- Provides support for freelance journalists and their families when they need help.
COVID-19 Hardship Fund
- Provides support for freelance journalists who have been affected by coronavirus.
Applications are received on continued basis. There are no deadlines.
