Moldindconbank remains the leader in the Moldovan card market
This is confirmed by the latest report of the National Bank, which shows that Moldindconbank issued every third bankcard in the country.
Thus, according to data of the second quarter of 2020, Moldindconbank has a share of 37.6% of the market of cards in circulation, higher by 1 percentage point since the beginning of the year, reaching a portfolio of 786 thousand cards, out of the approximately 2.09 million issued in the country. These figures show that Moldindconbank is growing faster than the entire bankcard market.
The same data shows that every third employee (34.4%) in the economic sector receives its salary on Moldindconbank card - over 335 thousand out of the 975 thousand salary cards on the market.
An even greater share have the social cards - 43.6% or 178.2 thousand out of 409 thousand cards of this type, intended for receiving pensions and allowances from the National Bureau for Social Insurance (CNAS).
Moldindconbank also is the leader in terms of the number and value of card transactions in the second quarter of 2020. Almost 8.2 million transactions (37.5%), amounting to MDL 5.7 billion (33.7%) were made with MICB cards.
An even greater ratio have the non-cash payments, the number of which is 6.1 million or 38.0% of all payments made with cards from Moldova. Their value exceeds MDL 1.7 billion (35.8%), according to the report for the second quarter of this year.
The data of the National Bank also show that Moldindconbank is also a reliable partner for the business environment, with 6 thousand POS terminals (27.8%) located at service providers in the country.
